Erik Barnes, ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER, VICE PRESIDENT, GENERAL MANAGER OF MOUNT SNOW RESORT
Recently named vice president - general manager at Mount Snow Resort, Erik Barnes brings with him a lifetime of ski industry experience. Barnes has moved up through the ranks over the past 31 years, starting as a ski school instructor and most recently holding the title of director of resort services and director of golf, a position which he has held since 2006. A 20-years veteran of ski school operations, with a focus product development, customer retention, and database design and development, Barnes has lived and breathed the ski school customer experience.
In addition to being a lifelong skier, Barnes has also been involved with PSIA professional ski instructors of America. He has been an examiner with PSIA-E for the past 15 years, as well as the alpine educational staff chairperson for the last 2 years. He also held the role of corporate trainer for the American Ski Company, where he helped to shape ski industry policies and protocols on local, regional, and national level.
